What is Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo about?
Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo is an anime film animated by Studio Khara, based on an original story written for the screen. It was released in November 17, 2012. AniList classifies it as action, drama, mecha and psychological. It continues from Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, which is worth watching first.
14 years after third impact, Ikari Shinji awakens to a world he does not remember. He hasn't aged. Much of Earth is laid in ruins, Nerv has been dismantled, and people who he once protected have turned against him. Befriending the enigmatic Nagisa Kaworu, Shinji continues the fight against the angels and realizes the fighting is far from over, even when it could be against his former allies. The characters' struggles continue amidst the battles against the angels and each other, spiraling down to what could inevitably be the end of the world.

Shinji Ikari is the Third Child ('Third Children' in Japanese), who pilots Unit 01. He is the son of Gendo and the late Yui Ikari. Supporting characters
Rei Ayanami 綾波レイ

Ayanami is the First Child and the pilot of Evangelion Unit 00. She is shown to be socially withdrawn and hardly interacts with anyone. Rei's cool, silent and emotionally-stunted personality has garnered the scorn of her schoolmates; Asuka calls her a "doll" or "puppet".
Japanese voice: Megumi Hayashibara
Asuka Langley Souryuu 惣流・アスカ・ラングレー
Supporting character
Asuka is the Second Child ('Second Children' in the Japanese versions of NGE), who pilots Evangelion Unit 02. She is from Germany, but her nationality is American. She has an American father and a half-German, half-Japanese mother.

Japanese voice: Fumihiko Tachiki
Shigeru Aoba 青葉シゲル
