  A peculiar high school student that has basic training as a ninja and the unfound ability to speak to animals. Jirou Azuma, the grandson of Toshimasa Azuma, is a cocky kid with a heart for animals. Should Jirou find an animal being bothered or in need of help, he will rush over and fight the people causing trouble.

  A mononoke that follows Amagi's cause, Naruko is stranger than the average mononoke. The extent of her abilities are unknown, though she is able to hold up a large barrier, and falls asleep as a result. It's presumed that Kouga and Naruko are friends in some way, or at least get along with one another.

  The demon that fell from Heaven that ravages his own kind. The immensely powerful mononoke that could rival Ragou in potential: Amagi. The so-called friend of Ragou, Amagi and him have had a long history dating back to the Edo period.

  A member of Black Cloak, one of Bureau's elite squads. Banri, partnered with Takeru Inui, often follow Touko Kusumi as bodyguards. Despite her small stature, Banri is a very capable bodyguard that can rival some mononoke.

  A member of Black Cloak, one of the Bureau's elite squads. Takeru gives off the vibe of a delinquent, though he is very much the opposite of one, being responsible and a pretty serious guy. With his partner, Banri Himezuka, he is often pushed around by her and gets told off for his antics.

  The ruler of Avidya Forest and long living mononoke: Ogre Lord Ibuki. Notably known for threatening death over those that enter her forest, Ibuki is rather territorial with her domain. Though she says such things, she isn't as violent as she lets on.

  A well known retired onmitsu and the lone grandfather of Jirou Azuma. Toshimasa Azuma, even with his old age, is still a very formidable onmitsu. Among the onmitsu that are a part of the Bureau, Toshimasa may be the strongest of them all.

  One of Amagi's many followers, Roren is a mononoke capable of masterful illusions. Compared to others of his kind, he isn't particularly powerful in a brawl; however, when using his illusions, he can enhance himself or cause disadvantages for others to gain the upper hand.
